Established in 1985 we are a pioneering manufacturer of non-contact sensors in India. In 1987 we purchased technical know-how from Kastl Electronic, Germany for the manufacture of inductive/ capacitive/ photoelectric proximity switches. Kastl who have been manufacturing these switches since 1962, are an innovating company who have held numerous patents - some worldwide - for their switch designs. This acquisition has enabled the manufacture of sensors to international standards, notably IEC 60947-5-2.

In 1990 we became India's first manufacturer of non-contact sensors to adopt Surface Mount Technology. This has enabled us to manufacture extremely compact sensors, besides raising reliability to a higher level.

In 1997 our switches were approved by Indian Defence and were subsequently used by the Indian Army. We are currently India's only proximity switch manufacturer to receive this approval.

Accent's switches are available throughout India through a strong distribution network. Most leading companies in virtually every industry are regularly using them.

Accent manufactures its products at its modern, climatically-controlled factory at Thane, on the outskirts of Mumbai.
